Members / Volunteers with the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis apply the curriculum in 1-hour sessions during the week and a 3-hour session in the Saturday morning program. The program partners with Indianapolis Public School (IPS) during the week. The Saturday program is open to students from neighboring school districts to participate.
The goal of Team Mentoring is to help each Mentee (s) /Student (s) that enters our program to be the best Young Man they can be. Through the curriculum, we focus on the areas of Education, Leadership, Financial Empowerment, Health and Wellness, and Mentoring others.
The Mentors are intent on making an impact with our young men/mentee’s through the use of the curriculum and sharing life experiences and lessons learned. As part of the program, we also seek to engage the parents of the young men/mentee’s concerning the development of their son(s). We believe that working together we can help students develop and start the journey to achieve lifetime goals.
